Eva Mendes (born in New York City) is an American actress and model. A talent agent noticed her talents and encouraged her to enter the entertainment business. Her decision to drop out of school was the consequence of a lot of reflection. In the movie Children of the Corn V Fields of Terror she debuted and disappointed herself with her performance. It took her a long time to perfect her acting abilities and appeared in numerous low-budget productions in attempt to showcase her skills. She persevered and her will power proved fruitful. The actress received fame and high praise for her performance in the movie Training Day after which her acting career began to take off.
